Budapest was my last trip abroad before Covid hit and I’ve been missing these trips terribly. I’ve been traveling inside my own country for the past two years and I’m happy I’m privileged enough to do it despite this whole Covid mess, but I feel something is missing, so maybe writing and sharing will alleviate the itch.

Budapest was on my bucket list since I started a bucket list of places to visit and oh my… I only regret not staying for longer! Budapest is such a beautiful city with so many amazing places to visit and views that you could spend hours just admiring, specially at night when everything is illuminated.

Here goes my itinerary, information about the places I visited, the places I recommend for eating and the useful tips I wish someone had gave me.

The Hotel

I stayed at the Hotel Memories OldTown and I totally recommended it. The location is great, there are bus and tram stops just around the corner, and one of the main bus stops that connects to the airport is located 2min from the hotel (Kálvin tér M). Even though the hotel is located near a very busy street, most rooms face a totally quiet one, so no trouble sleeping. Breakfast was great, with options for all tastes, all fresh and some homemade. Room was big, super comfortable bed and all the typical amenities. There’s a spa center at the hotel with sauna, jacuzzi…
